Saman Cutting Board

This is a cutting board made from Samaan wood and comes from the species Samanea Saman with a Janka hardness of 900 lbf.  It is a tropical hardwood and is otherwise known as Monkeypod, Tzalam or Caribbean Walnut.  This wood is generally rot and water resistant.    However, it is recommended that this cutting board be wiped at the end of use and not placed in a dishwasher.
